Jessup Hose Company No. 2 (Station 25) proudly serves as the primary provider of fire, rescue, and basic life support (BLS) emergency medical services for Jessup Borough in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. Operating from a modern 6-bay, 6,000-square-foot facility—originally constructed in 1983 and expanded in 1997—our company is committed to the safety and well-being of our nearly 5,000 residents.
Station 25 also supports mutual aid efforts in neighboring communities, including Blakely Borough, in cooperation with Wilson Fire Company (Station 20) and Blakely Hose Company (Station 22). We are a charter member of the Lackawanna County Rescue Task Force #1, contributing personnel, equipment, and medical support to countywide technical rescue operations coordinated by the Lackawanna County Emergency Management Agency.

Our membership includes female EMTs in leadership roles, and we maintain a vibrant Junior Firefighter program that fosters the next generation of emergency responders.
Training & Education:
Station 25 conducts monthly in-house fire/rescue drills and EMS continuing education programs approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. We also host an average of four state-certified training courses annually.
Funding & Community Support:
Our operations are primarily funded through community donations—particularly our annual envelope drive—and local fundraisers such as our summer carnival and chicken barbecue. Supplemental funding is provided through borough allocations, insurance reimbursements, and state and federal grant programs.
About Jessup Borough:
Located near the geographic center of Lackawanna County, Jessup Borough spans approximately 6.8 square miles (4,400 acres), with 40% of its area developed for residential, commercial, and industrial use. The population, as recorded in the 2000 Census, was 4,718 residents, with a significant proportion aged 65 and over.
